VENADO CAVES- Tour description
This adventure starts by being handed a pair of rubber boots, a helmet and flashlight. You then make your way over to the cavern entrance and enter into a series of room sized caverns. The larger rooms will then network off into series of narrow passages, chambers and even other rooms. Venturing deeper you will enter a flowing creek and encounter seashells and fruit shaped stalactites. If your vacation includes the Arenal area, you really want to add this guided tour to your itinerary. Why? Well, there is only one way to find out. You will not regret it.

Somewhere in the Northern zone at the end of a dirt road near the tiny town of Venado are the Venado Caves. Be warned: this adventure might not be suited for everyone; especially those who are not comfortable with confined spaces or walking on extremely uneven terrain. However, if you don’t mind confined spaces, crawling, getting wet and dirty, climbing and squeezing through narrow passages and wish to take on an adventure deep in the bowels of the earth, this limestone labyrinth adventure is definitely for you.
