Day 02- Drive from San José to Arenal Area, Hanging Bridges and Hot Springs
This morning a representative of the car rental company will deliver your car at your hotel and give you a vehicle briefing. Your first destination is the Arenal Area. Don’t know the route? No problem! Your vehicle is equipped with an EZ Find GPS Navigational System, to show you the way. Upon arrival, your first activity is a hike on the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a system of trails, paths and suspension bridges which will let you explore the low land tropical rain forest and contemplate magnificent vistas of the Arenal Volcano.

After hiking the bridges, you can return to you hotel for a little R&R in the afternoon, but not for long. At dusk you make your way over to the hot spring to enjoy the hot volcanic water pools or the cold water pools, maybe even experiencing a natural massage by sitting under a hot water fall.  No rest for the weary, after the springs you are free to drive to one of our recommended restaurants for dinner and then head out with your 4x4 to the area by Arenal Volcano National Park to watch the Volcano put on her Natural Fireworks for you.

Day 03- Canyoning and Rafting in the Arenal Area
Start early this morning meeting your canyoning guides and venturing into a pristine rainforest canyon filed with pools and waterfalls. Experienced guides put you into your safety harness and assist you down a series of over 8 amazing waterfalls that get gradually bigger. We save the best for last… the grand finale is a huge, 210-ft, 3-stage waterfall!

Not enough wet action for today? Professional, experienced bilingual guides will give you a safety talk, paddling instruction, lifejackets, helmets & then you're off…You will continue the second portion of the day with the best class II-III rafting in the Arenal region. Challenge yourself with rapids like “Morning Coffee" & "Rock around the Croc" while occasionally swimming in beautiful river pool and enjoying an exuberant river canyon. This little white water jewel offers amazing wildlife observing opportunities and with luck you will spot monkeys, bright colored tropical birds, iguanas and other fauna.

Day 04- Morning Zip Lines Afternoon drive to the Beach
Today you’ll be heading to the beach, but before you leave the Arenal Area you will experience a Costa Rican specialty: the canopy tour.  This tour has 18 platforms, extraordinary trails, and 15 cables above the canopy forest all with the service and supervision of highly qualified and professional personnel. Also included in this tour is the uncanny Tarzan Swing, which delivers a unique sensation of swinging across the jungle Tarzan style!

Day 05- Relax at the beach
Today is free for you to relax at the beach or take advantage of your vehicle to explore nearby towns

Day 06- Drive to back to San Jose
After a relaxing morning at the beach you drive back to the city.

Day 07- Departure, all good things must come to an end
Today is your departure day, and you will be able to return your 4x4, directly at the airport. You will be taking with you great memories, many photographs, one or two new acquired tastes for Costa Rican cuisine, anecdotes on the desire to come back to Costa Rica to visit your new friends and getting to know even more of this small but wonderful country.
