Hotel Milvia

The artsy Milvia hotel is located east of the Center of the city of San Jose in a quiet street in the District of San Pedro, just a few blocks from the Campus the University of Costa Rica and several private universities. You’ll find good shopping, nightlife and a variety of restaurants and cafes close by. Milvia is a Caribbean style plantation house dating from the 1930‘s and has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Gracious architecture, an outstanding collection of modern Costa Rican art and period furnishings combine with modern amenities and truly personal service to create a unique atmosphere, an oasis of tranquility.

Nine spacious guest rooms look over a plant filled internal courtyard or have an outside view. All rooms have king size beds and private bathrooms and are equipped with cable television and telephone.

There are comfortable sitting rooms and a lush tropical garden where you can enjoy a quiet drink. The upstairs reading room has a library, games and internet access and leads onto a wide veranda with panoramic views. A continental breakfast buffet is included in the rate; lunch and dinner are also available and drinks are served round the clock. There is gated parking on site.
