Day 01- Arrival Day
Today has been designated as your travel day. At the airport, you will be met by a hotel representative who will provide a transfer service to your hotel.

Day 02- Drive from San José to Arenal Area stopping, explore the Poas Volcano; tonight relax at the Hot Springs
This morning a representative of the car rental company will deliver your car at your hotel and give you a vehicle briefing, and then you are off to the adventure. You’ll be first heading to the Poás Volcano National Park to peek down into this active giant’s craters. This volcano houses two craters, one which holds a hot lagoon with turquoise water as well as fumoralic activity, the second being inactive but is surrounded by forest which offers great trails. You can drive almost to the summit of this 8900 foot structure..

After Poás continue in route, crossing the Central Volcanic Mountain Range. As you drive north and then west you’ll catch a glimpse of the awesome Arenal volcano. Don’t know the route? No problem your vehicle is equipped with an EZ Find GPs Navigational System, to show you the way.

Tonight you can make your way over to the hot spring to enjoy the hot volcanic water pools or the cold water pools, maybe even experiencing a natural massage by sitting under a hot water fall. No rest for the weary, after the springs drive to one of our recommended restaurants for dinner and then head of with your 4x4 to the area by Arenal Volcano National Park to watch the Volcano put on a Natural Fireworks display for you.

Day 03- Canyoning and Rafting in the Arenal Area
Start early this morning meeting you canyoning guides and venturing into a pristine rainforest canyon filed with pools and waterfalls. Experienced guides put you into your safety harness and assist you down a series of amazing waterfalls that get gradually bigger. We save the best for last… the grand finale is a huge, 210-ft, 3-stage waterfall!

 Not enough wet action for today? Professional, experienced bilingual guides will give you a safety talk, paddling instruction, lifejackets, helmets & then you're off…Will continue the second portion of the day with  the best class II-III rafting in the Arenal Region. Challenge yourself with rapids like “Morning Coffee" & "Rock around the Croc" while occasionally swimming in beautiful river pool and enjoying an exuberant river canyon. This little white water jewel lots offer amazing wildlife  observing opportunities, and with luck you will observe monkeys, bright colored tropical birds, iguanas and other fauna.

Day 04- Drive to Monteverde Cloud forest
Today you’ll be heading to the cloud forest, but before you leave the Arenal Area you we encourage you to take advantage of the morning to either visit the Fortuna Waterfall or hike the base of Arenal Volcano at the national park. Then head of to the Monteverde area, getting there is an adventure of its own. (Overnight at hotel in Monteverde included)

Day 05- Aerial Tram, Hanging bridges and Zip lines in Monteverde
Start your day exploring the world famous cloud forests of Monteverde walking on a series of trails and suspension bridges that will take you through and over the treetops. With the help of a guide, you will learn about the flora and fauna of the area. Then ride an aerial tram in one of the area’s highest mountains to reach the zip lines. Fly over the treetops through 10 different cables, ranging up to 2,526 feet in length and over 460 feet in height!

Day 06- Drive to the beach
Today you make your way to the central Manuel Antonio in the Central Pacific Coast

Day 07- Relax at the beach
Today is free for you to relax at the beach or take advantage of your vehicle to explore nearby towns.

Day 08- Drive back to San Jose
After a relaxing morning at the beach you will drive back to the city.

Day 09- San José – Departure, all good things must come to an end
Today is your departure day, and you will be able to return your 4x4, directly at the airport. You will be taking with you great memories, many photographs, one or two new acquired tastes for Costa Rican cuisine, anecdotes and the desire to come back to Costa Rica so you can visit your new friends and get to know even more of this small but wonderful country.
