Day 01- Arrival Day
You will be met by a MrTico representative and brought to your hotel in San Jose.
Overnight at Buena Vista with breakfast included.

Day 02- Fly to Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula
A Nature Air or Sansa aircraft is awaiting you for your one hour domestic flight to Puerto Jimenez. Here you will get into the ‘Colectivo’ taxi which departs twice a day. It’s a very interesting two hour ride to Carate, the final stop being the only bar in town (instead of the collective taxi you can also fly into Carate from Puerto Jimenez). You’ve arrived at the end of the world- mere nature and an endless stretch of beach.

Day 03- Corcovado National Park entrance
Gear up for your 3-day hike in “the most biologically intense place on earth”- bring plenty of water, sunscreen and snacks. From Finca Exotica it’s about 30 minutes hiking to ‘La Leona’ Ranger Station, the entrance to the park. Enjoy the rainforest, mangroves, beaches, ocean and naturally all the flora and fauna. It’s a 6 to 8 hour hike to ‘La Sirena’ Ranger Station. Here the ranger will welcome you and show you your bunk beds (or your elevated platform if you’re bringing your own tent). Dinner is served at 5:30Pm, so make sure to arrive on time. Enjoy the serenity of this place at night.

Day 04- Spot the Jaguar
Get up early and explore the beach. You will most likely spot the jaguar before 6am. Breakfast is served at 7:00Am. Numerous trails in the vicinity of the station, the beach and the Sirena river will keep you busy until sunset. At night you can relax on the huge porch and exchange experiences with other visitors.

Day 05- Reunite with the Scarlet Macaws of Carate
Start your hike to Carate early after breakfast. Again, make sure to fill your bottles with water at the ranger station before departing. A different day usually means different encounters and experiences. You will most likely spot different species of flowers, trees, frogs, birds, snakes, monkeys and other mammals. Cool off during a dip in the ocean (beware of the possible strong currents).
When you get to Carate, treat yourself to a cold beer or coke at the Pulperia or you can keep on going for 5 more minutes to Finca Exotica. Make yourself comfortable and look back at your memorable Corcovado experience.

Day 06- One day of Finca Exotica goodies
Today it’s all about relaxing. Enjoy your breakfast, stroll the premises of Finca Exotica, learn about its sustainable and eco-friendly projects, familiarize yourself with the 125 different species of fruit trees and taste them all, spot and photograph all sorts of wildlife and enjoy the views of the ocean up high in the hills of this marvelous place. For some physical action, join one of the Yoga sessions or grab yourself a bogey board and a pair of fins and surf the waves. Finca Exotica is just 50 meters from the beach.

Day 07- Back to civilization
Say bye to your new friends at Finca Exotica and Corcovado National Park and head back to Puerto Jimenez by ‘Colectivo’ taxi (or by air). In Puerto Jimenez your airplane is ready to bring you back to San Jose, in time to catch your flight home. Or you can schedule your flight the day after for not to be rushing.
