A MrTico Representative will greet you at the International airport (SJO) and will provide a private transfer to the Capital City, San José where you will stay at a first class hotel. Enjoy a free cocktail at the lobby bar, take advantage of the delicious free breakfast, go for a swim at the swimming pool or simply surf the web for free to keep in touch with friends and relatives.

Day 2. This morning we will whisk you away to La Fortuna, a small town whose landscape is dominated by the awesome Arenal Volcano. Its an incredibly beautiful and active volcano with daily lava flows and boulders rumbling down the cone. There you will be checking in at one of the area's nicest hotels, from which you will enjoy a splendid volcano view.

This afternoon, start your adventures with Canyoning. Canyoning is a brand new sport that’s becoming very popular the world over! Here, near the Arenal Volcano, our rugged, mountainous terrain is ideal for incredible canyoneering options and huge, breathtaking waterfalls! This is a unique, multi-sport adventure that combines rappelling, down-climbing and river tracing in a deep, tropical canyon.

Day 3. The best way to discover Arenal is on 4x4 ATV's! Savor the powerful presence of the volcano as you ride through exotic tropical fruit plantations with professional, bilingual guides. Cool off in a natural, crystal-clear pool with stunning mountain views and a spectacular waterfall. It's Costa Rican adventure not to be missed!

In the afternoon hike through lush rainforest with a naturalist guide close to the base of the Arenal Volcano where we wait for sunset at the observation point to see the amazing lava flow of Central America's most-active volcano (on clear nights). Later, take a relaxing dip in natural hot springs and enjoy the area's specialty tropical drinks at the swim-up bar.

Day 4. This morning we have arranged for your transfer to Manuel Antonio on the Pacific Coast. It boasts some of the mist stunning coastline in the country and features a multitude of boutique hotels, restaurants and some of the most beautiful ocean views and the country’s most visited national park. There you will check in at one of the area's best and most scenic hotels.

In the evening enjoy the Canopy Zip lines tour. Sail high above the rainforest canopy and experience Manuel Antonio’s most popular adventure sport the canopy zip line at night! This exhilarating tour was actually invented in Costa Rica.

Day 5. Experience one of Costa Rica’s most striking coastlines and National Park – by open-seat ocean kayak. (8 am- 12:00 pm)

The adventure begins near the developing Pez Vela (Sail Fish) Marina in Quepos and winds along the Manuel Antonio coastline. Indulge yourselves at a rare jewel of a beach – a hidden Manuel Antonio treasure at Biezans Bay – for a refreshing swim and delicious local snacks. Ask your bilingual naturalist guide to direct you to the best snorkeling spots as you experience three small but growing, active, and astounding coral reef systems nestled very close to the shore of Biezans Bay. Or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of a private white sand beach.
After an unforgettable experience at Biezans, continue kayaking – if you choose to do so – towards Manuel Antonio National Park and wonder at the nearby nesting islands where exotic boobies and frigates call home year round. And finally end your adventure with a relaxing yet in typical Costa Rican flavor near the beach at a local Manuel Antonio hot spot before you return to your Costa Rican residence.

Day 6. For the early birds we recommend you visit Manuel Antonio National Park, (activity not included, you can easily visit the nearby park independently or hire a guide at the park entrance, $10/person entrance fee, hours are 7 am - 3 pm, closed Mondays). The park has 3 beautiful white sand beaches.

Late this morning (by hotel check out time) we have arranged your transfer back to the Irazú Hotel in San Jose. Be sure to take advantage of the hotel amenities, (swimming pool, free internet connection, free breakfast) we recommend you don’t party too hard, tomorrow will be action packed and long day, you’ll need your energy to paddle down some of the world best 14 miles of whitewater.

Day 7. We suggest you make use of the free breakfast, you'll need all the energy for today's White Water Rafting! The Pacuare River is rated one of the top rivers in the world. You'll be excited to launch your raft and begin paddling 14 miles deep into the heart of one of Costa Rica's most impressive primary rainforests. You'll pass through densely vegetated rainforest gorges, view cascading waterfalls, relax in serene pools and experience pounding rapids. You will enoy an adrenaline-packed afternoon running the Pacuare's biggest rapids, with names like Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montanas and more. This unforgettable trip will be a highlight of your stay in Costa Rica!

Day 8. All good things must come to end. Over the last 8 days you experienced some of the best adventures Costa Rica has to offer. You will take home great memories, amazing photographs, likely some coffee and maybe a bruise or two.
