Day 1. On arrival you will be met by a MrTico representative who will drive you to a world class hotel, just 10 minutes from the airport.

Enjoy a free cocktail at the lobby bar, go for a swim at the swimming pool or simply surf the web for free to inform your friends and relatives of your safe arrival in Costa Rica.

Day 2. After breakfast you will be taken to the domestic airport, hop in the twin prop plane and enjoy the 1 hour flight along the Pacific coastline to the Osa Peninsula.

After landing you walk or take a 2 minute taxi ride to the small town of Puerto Jimenez, to do your necessary shopping since you will be leaving the civilized world for a while (a list of suggestions on what to bring will be provided on booking). Then grab a taxi or take the 'Colectivo taxi' to Carate, the smallest town at the end of, what is considered to be, the most interesting road of Costa Rica. Here, your local host will be welcoming you to his multi acre jungle, organic farm, botanical garden and lodge, all located right across the deserted white beach which stretches out for miles. You will be sleeping in comfortable tents on elevated platforms, all designed by the owner himself. Boogie board the waves, study the Corcovado flora & fauna charts and books in the library or wonder around the gardens which hold over 1000 trees and 125 species of tropical fruits. All meals are from excellent quality and served in Casa Grande which recently opened its doors.

Day 3. Gear up for your 3-day hike through 'the most biologically intense place on Earth'. From Finca Exotica it's about a 30 minutes beach hike to 'La Leona' ranger station- the entrance to the park of parks. Depending on your pace and the tides, your final destination for today will be 6 to 8 hours hiking.

You will be hiking the beach, through the jungle, crossing rivers, climbing hills, and facing the sun's heat and very local showers. If you find a welcoming bay, jump in for a refreshing moment (beware of the rip currents). Naturally the best part of Corcovado is its overwhelming beauty of flora & fauna. All sorts of species will be crossing your path.
Follow the signs 'Sirena Ranger Station' and make sure to arrive there before 5:30 Pm. First off, it will get dark right after and second, dinner for which you have been longing for is served.

Day 4. This day is designated to spot the most wildlife ever and to enjoy the serenity of this untouched part of the world. We suggest you wake up early to stroll the beach at sunrise. This is the best moment and location to spot the jaguar. At 7Am breakfast is served.

The beach, the Sirena river and numerous trails all around the station will keep you busy untill sunset. At night you can relax on the huge porch and exchange experiences with other visitors.

Day 5. Start your hike to Carate early after breakfast. Make sure to fill your water bottles at the station before departure. You will most likely spot different species of flowers, trees, frogs, birds, snakes, monkeys, and other mammals.

When you get to Carate, treat yourself to a cold beer or coke at the Pulperia or you can keep on going for 5 more minutes to Finca Exotica. Make yourself comfortable and look back at your memorable Corcovado experience.

Day 6. Today is all about relaxing and treating your body and mind. Enjoy breakfast, stroll the premises of Finca Exotica, learn about its sustainable and eco-friendly projects, familiarize yourself with the 125 different species of fruit trees and taste them all.

Spot all sorts of wildlife and enjoy the views of the ocean up high in the hills of this marvelous place. For more physical action, join one of the Yoga sessions or grab yourself a boogie board and a pair of fins to surf the waves, just 150 feet away from the Fince.

Day 7. Say bye to your new friends at Finca Exotica and Corcovado National Park and head back to Puerto Jimenez by ('Collectivo') taxi. Your plane is waiting to take you to San Jose, in time to catch your flight home. Or we can schedule an extra night in the cenral valley for not to be rushing.
