Day 2. After breakfast your private transportation is awaiting you to take you to the Arenal region. Here you will be checking in at one of the best hotels in the area. At 3 Pm you will be expected in the reception area for a guided volcano hike, continuing with relaxing at the Hot Springs including a buffet dinner.

Your guide will explain everything about the Arenal Volcano, its eruptions and contributions to development of La Fortuna. The hike will submerge you into a primary Tropical Rain forest, where you will spend about 1 ½ hour exploring the Silencio Trail, which faces the majestic Arenal Volcano. At dark, after visiting the trail, continue to the observation point, which offers the closest and most direct view to the lava flow. Relax, enjoy a beverage and listen to the incredible sounds of the volcano. If the cloud cover is high enough, expect to see a glowing crater. Listen to a variety of frogs, toucans, and insects and watch thousands of fireflies. With the volcano continuing on rumbling, you will enjoy the thermal baths at Baldi Hot Springs where a delicious dinner is served.

Day 3. Today’s scenery will be Caño Negro; a marvelous and peaceful river, winding through dense jungle forest which is home to numerous species of birds, reptiles and mammals. more
Besides the abundance of Flora you’ll be surrounded with on this Safari Float, expect to spot kingfishers, glossy Ibis, black-necked stilt, wood stock, snail kite, green backed heron, Roseate spoonbill, caiman, turtles, iguanas, monkeys, sloth and many more. This is a guided tour with lunch and round trip transportation included.

Day 4. Today you either have the choice between horseback riding and mountain biking. Both tours will take you through the backcountry, rivers, jungle and small villages and are guided by professionals. Along the way lunch is provided. more
If you choose for horses, you either have the choice to ride through the green countryside with views on the volcano with the 140-foot ‘Rio Fortuna’ waterfall as your destination, or through a beautiful rainforest towards the Arenal volcano all the way up to the awesome lookout point. For both tours, healthy, well trained horses are used.
For the bikers, your options are from beginner to intermediate to experienced riding tours near the base of Arenal volcano and along Lake Arenal using amazing back roads for adventurous and fun rides. All biking tours include brand-name bikes, gloves, helmet, an experienced guide, support vehicle for the entire route, snack lunch and round trip hotel transportation.

Day 5. After breakfast you will be heading for a totally new environment. By a van-boat-van combination it will take you about 3 hours to get to Monteverde, Costa Rica’s world famous Cloud Forest. Here you will be checking in to a cozy jungle lodge, which of all hotels in the area is the closest to the entrance of the Cloud Forest Reserve.

Day 6. Today you will experience a full nature & adventure combo of the Sky Tram, Sky Trek and Sky Walk with Cloud Forest hiking in the afternoon.

Upon arriving to the location, the adventure starts in the reception where you will board the slow paced gondolas and ride smoothly up to a wide observation deck at the highest point. Sky Tram is a guided tour and you can have the opportunity of intermediate the ride with short stops to observe the cloud forest biodiversity, the Arenal, Tenorio, Miravalles and Orosi volcanoes, the Nicoya gulf, and the Guanacaste plain if the weather allows. Instead of riding back down the same way you came up on the Sky Tram, zip your way to the bottom along the fast moving canopy tour zip lines, the best option for those seeking a rush of adrenaline. Additionally you will be able to enjoy a visit to the Sky Walk which lets you view the cloud forest from the unique perspective of elevated suspension bridges. Enjoy this guided tour, where you will learn all about the flora and fauna of the area walking through and over the treetops. Sky tram, sky trek, sky walk including transportation.
In the afternoon we suggest you visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Opening hours are from 7 Am – 4 Pm and self guided tour booklets stating numerous trails are available at the entrance ($1).

Day 7. This morning we have arranged for your transfer to Manuel Antonio on the Pacific Coast. It boasts some of the mist stunning coastlines in the country and features a multitude of boutique hotels, restaurants and some of the most beautiful ocean views and the country’s most visited national park. There you will check in at one of the area's best and most scenic hotels.

Day 8. Experience one of Costa Rica’s most striking coastlines and National Park – by open-seat ocean kayak. The adventure begins near the developing Pez Vela (Sail Fish) Marina in Quepos and winds along the Manuel Antonio coastline. Indulge yourselves at a rare jewel of a beach – a hidden Manuel Antonio treasure at Biezans Bay – for a refreshing swim and delicious local snacks.

Feel free to have your bilingual naturalist guide direct you to the best snorkeling spots as you experience three small but growing, active, and astounding coral reef systems nestled very close to the shore of Biezans Bay. Or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of a private white sand beach.
After an unforgettable experience at Biezans, continue kayaking – if you choose to do so – towards Manuel Antonio National Park and wonder at the nearby nesting islands where exotic boobies and frigates call home year round. Ask your naturalist guide to steer you towards their favorite species’ nesting spots and most popular locations for local aquatic marine life. And finally end your adventure with a relaxing yet in typical Costa Rican flavor near the beach at a local Manuel Antonio hot spot before you return to your Costa Rican residence.

Day 9. Enjoy the morning on the beach and a visit to the National Park (on Mondays closed), right at the beach. Make sure to be ready at 1 Pm for your private transfer to Dominical; just 1,5 hours further down south, it provides a totally different environment.

Day 10. Today will be a very special and exciting day. Your guides will pick you up at 8 Am for an adventure set atop one of Costa Rica's most beautiful natural terrains. You will be rappelling down a multiple marvelous walls, rocks and waterfalls ending up at ‘The House of Rock’ where you will spend the night including dinner. more
It is approximately a challenging 2-hour hike to get into the pristine cloud/rain forest. Home to the howler monkey, exotic birds and wildlife, here you will discover some of the most spectacular rainforests and extreme river gorges in the country. Your accommodations will be inside a very large, open cave behind two 90ft waterfalls with kitchen and sleeping facilities where all equipment and provisions are provided. On the mountain there are 10 spectacular falls including Costa Rica's tallest at 600ft! While at the top you are able to hike to other waterfalls with diving and swimming areas. For the extremists there are possibilities for cliff jumping. This overnight tour includes comforts of kitchen, bedding, showers and toilets.

Day 11. This afternoon, when you get out of the jungle, a driver is waiting for you to bring you back to the Central Valley. Take advantage of the luxury of your hotel to rest, relax and communicate with friends and family back home. We suggest not to drink too many cocktails at night, since tomorrow you will be in for some rough adventures.

Day 12. It’s time for your 2-Day White Water Rafting on the world famous Pacuare river; staying the night at a unique, sustainably built Rainforest Lodge, nestled on the mountainside overlooking the river.

You’ll get to explore the intimate nature of the rainforest from the river perspective. The warm water, cascading waterfalls, and opulently lush rainforest with its brilliantly colored plants, animals, and birds make this trip exquisite for your senses. Add in the exciting Class III -IV whitewater rapids and you have a tropical adventure that is hard to beat.

Day 13. After breakfast and a beautiful stay in your private ‘Cabecar Indian’ style bungalow on the 1,500-acre private reserve, you will keep on paddling the class IV rapids of the lower Pacuare section. In the afternoon you will reach the town of Siquirres, where you will have lunch and the opportunity to take a shower and change for your transfer to the Caribbean!
For your last two nights you will be enjoying the reggae style scene of Cahuita. A cozy, little town with a marvelous National Park just minutes from your hotel. At night, enjoy the Bob Marley music with the locals in one of the many bars or restaurants.

Day 14. Since it is your last full day in Costa Rica, we suggest you take advantage of the beautiful beach with the best waters. Hike the trails of ‘Cahuita National Park’ to spot flora and fauna and get to some of the most gorgeous deserted beaches of the Caribbean coast.

Day 15. All good things must come to an end. After two of the most amazing weeks, it’s time for your transfer back to the International Airport of San Jose to catch your flight home.
