Mr. Tico's objective is and always has been to put together the best vacations for each of its customers. Any trip is as unique for us as for our guests, and therefore we're proud to receive wonderful comments from them during and after their Costa Rica endeavour. "Vince was outstanding; he was very attentive and responded perfectly to my specific requests offering precisely the types of activities we were hoping for. Our driver, Rafael, was excellent. He drove the scenic route on the last trip to our final hotel destination and stopped at a “special” place just for me, knowing I LOVE iguanas. We saw a lot of lizards, large and small, crawling all over the place and hanging in the trees; it was great ... and so was Rafael.
We saw monkeys, toucans, crocodiles, sloths, snakes, bats, lizards and hummingbirds. The volcano was awesome, the waterfall was amazing, the hot springs were wonderful, the national parks were gorgeous, the kayaking/snorkeling was fun and the river safari float was fantastic. The people were all friendly and so laid back; an extremely positive environment for a vacation. Overall, Mr. Tico was excellent, and the trip was nearly perfect with the ONLY unsatisfactory thing being the switched fishing arrangements. We would highly recommend Mr. Tico to anyone! "

"One of the best trips I've ever experienced. Don't know how you guys do it but not having to worry about what to do and transportation ready for us everywhere we go was so important for a smooth and fun trip and you guys made that happen.
Our last day returning to the airport, Cali our driver was awesome! He definitely has a unique and great sense of humor and one of the nicest people we've met in Costa Rica. He never tried to rush us and did whatever he could to meet our needs and wishes. Great guy!
Thank you for all the work and time you put into our itinerary and the help you provided throughout the trip. We will definitely refer Mr. Tico to friends and family."

"Thank you so very much for making this a trip of a lifetime. Throughout our trip, our main driver, Freddy Ortega, was a breath of fresh air. He became our friend, our comfort zone and went above and beyond to show us sights or stop briefly to explain something about CR. Ylang Ylang, Lagarta Lodge and Bosque del Cabo were absolutely perfect overall.
Mr. Tico made this all possible by planning the trip for us and making all the arrangements so we did not have to worry about anything other than enjoying the country and its people. Excellent, excellent service from Mr. Tico. I can't think of one improvement to suggest on our itinerary or the service provided by Mr. Tico and its employees. Vince was accommodating, responsive and very professional. We would recommend Mr. Tico to anyone who is planning a CR vacation and doesn't know where to start, or even if they do. Our trip was so trouble-free, it was unbelievable."

"We had a spectacular trip, while visiting your beautiful country! The customized biking/caving trip that you organized was perfect. Mau and his crew were terrific. They provided all necessary gear, as well as snacks and beverages. We were able to experience a great variety of the local culture...from a quick trip through a small village, to interacting with a Palm Oil harvesting crew with oxen and carts, to the joy of observing a "pick-up"soccer game in the later afternoon.

"Our trip was PERFECT! We are most grateful to you for all your careful planning and for the high quality trip that you put together. Every activity was the best it could have been. I especially want to tell you about Zander who was our guide for the volcano hike, the float trip, and the Don Juan farm. He was incredibly interesting, but more than that, he was excellent with our kids and obviously highly committed to doing a quality job.

 "Overall, we were VERY pleased with Mr. Tico, Vince and Matias. You all made our experience in Costa Rica incredible and we will recommend you to all of our friends considering visiting your beautiful country.
The Irazu Tour- Was excellent, great views, and fun tour, guide Carla was fantastic.
Arenal Volcano Walk- Fun and educational and Zander was quite entertaining. Tabacon hot springs was AWESOME!
Safari Float- Was the most educational and enjoyable trip of the group because we saw lots of wildlife and had a great guide, Daiber.
ATV Tour- This was the only disappointment. Riding the ATVs was fun and we saw a beautiful waterfall, but guide Hugo chose to introduce us to his Tucan (which was really wonderful) instead of taking us to the second waterfall.
Canopy Zip Lines- Was fabulous!! Despite a torrential downpour, the experience was amazing, and all guides were quite skilled, helpful, and professional.
Catamaran Tour- Was really fun, beautiful, and entertaining and guides were helpful and fun.
Horseback riding- Guides Donna and Graidin were extremely personable, knowledgeable, and helpful and the horses were beautiful and fun, very nice tour.

 "Vince & Matias were very helpful, professional in helping us forming our itinerary. The itinerary was exactly what we wanted to do. All the three places we stayed at: Los Lagos in La Fortuna, Diria in Tamarindo and Best Western in San Jose were great, staffs were friendly, food were good, in all everything was wonderful. The guides were friendly. They were on time everyday to take us to our activities. We had a great time and the weather cooperated with us as well so the trip turned out to be great!! The drivers were always on time, courteous and friendly. The bus was very big and we had extra room to move around or even lie down to sleep for the long drive.
We appreciate Mr. Tico for making our memorable Costa Rica trip. Our group of 14 had a wonderful time, and look forward for the future to repeat this experience again. Thank you very much!! "

Lomas del Volcan was incredible with superb rooms and very nice staff. The Jardin hotel was very nice with a great location tucked away in the woods. The bathrooms a bit too small but overall we really enjoyed it. Ziplining was incredible, canyoneering wasn't too exciting, but fun. The Tortuga island tour was again fun with delicious lunch. The snorkeling could have been better. Transportation during the trip was excellent. Always on time and the professional and personable drivers were always willing to make a stop for us (lunch, grocery store, bathroom, etc.). Vans were clean and well kept."

"The Springs [Arenal Volcano Region] was one of most memorable places I have ever stayed. Capitan Suizo [Tamarindo Beach] was also excellent and very relaxing. Sky Trek was awesome. The hike was good but more strenuous than we expected. Hike guide was excellent and Trek guides were very professional. ATV tour was good - guide was excellent. Catamaran was good. Snorkelling was not that great but the sail was awesome. Our MrTico experience was excellent and the vacation schedule was well designed. Everything went very smoothly. "

"Room was a bit small for 3 guys at Fortuna Inn. Other hotels exceeded expectations. Canyoning in arenal was so so, all other activities exceeded expectations. [Note from Mr.Tico: this was a last minute booking and our great canyoning tour was fully booked for this date]. Your staff was awesome and the entire experience was solid, we would use mrtico again. "There were just a few small things (the snorkeling crew needed to instruct us better and El Establo Hotel did not explain the grounds to us), but overall we had a fabulous vacation!!! "I was very impressed other than a few glitches. All transportation was great. The only problem was the flight into Punta Islita was canceled and the drive was terrible. We drove through a washed out road where the current was pushing the vehicle. All activities were perfect and the hotels were amazing. "

"We absolutely loved dealing with Mr. Tico, the entire process, beginning to end was a pleasure!! All 4 places we stayed were absolutely perfect and we thouroughly enjoyed all of the booked excursions!! The rental car company was easy to work with. The only thing I could say here is we were not prepared to have a $1200 hold on our credit card....but it all worked out. It was a really nice touch to have Matias meet us at our check in at the beginning of the vacation, made us feel taken care of. EXCELLENT! "

 "Vince, I am sorry this has taken so long, but I just can't let it go by, even after this time, to tell you what a wonderful time my wife and I had on our trip to Costa Rica. Not a small part of the success of our trip is due to your efforts. I have been so appreciative of you listening to what we wanted and then adding your valuable inputs and ideas to make such a great trip. All the people, especially the drivers, that we came into contact with were fun and informative adding much to our enjoyment. What was the best? Oh my. The zipping was fantastic, hanging bridges was fun learning, hot spings was perfect for the two of us, and the Nayara hotel and their staff wow, we really enjoyed our time at the hotel spa. The people of Costa Rica also had a significant role in our enjoyment. What a great 15th wedding anniversary for us. However, this was very likely the last foreign trip my husband will take with me. It is becoming very difficult for him. He prefers the comforts of home more than the excitement of travel. "All of the people who transported us, and who helped us in the scheduled activities at the resort were great. All cheerful, engaging, and exemplary of Pura Vida. All private drivers were friendly and efficient. The one from the Liberia Hitlon to Potrero (I think his name was Paul) was hilarious! Really great.
I hope we get to return to see more of Costa Rica, and we will happily use Mr. Tico again."

"The itinerary description and presentation was exactly as was experienced on the actual tour (except for the rainy weather). The guides on the zip line ride were very professional and thank god knew what they were doing. I would say that the whole Mr. Tico experience from start to finish would get a very good to excellent rating. The staff was prompt and courteous in setting up the arrangements for the tours I wanted. The price was excellent as compared to other vendors. I have no complaints. I'd use this travel service again in the future."

Si Como No was a lovely property with extremely nice staff. However, a handicapped person should not stay there- too many stairs. The Kioro is a beautiful property with great staff but poor food service. Transportation was very good with excellent and very timely drivers. Tours were fun and the kids loved it all. Matias was very responsive and truthful. MrTico's service and care were great. We would use Matias and MrTico again. Happy Holidays."

"The support of the staff was very cordial and informative. Especially, when our arrival flight was delayed which caused us to miss our connecting flight to San Jose. Arrangements were made to transport us to our hotel in the early morning hours.
The hotels that were chosen were excellent and the daily excursions, with knowledgeable, extremely friendly and helpful guides, were fun and exciting. All drivers were excellent and again very knowledgeable and informative on the different areas of the country that we passed through.
