Nature Canoeing Tours - Tour Description
You will be picked up from your hotel in the La Fortuna area for an easy 20 minute drive to the put in of the Peñas Blancas. After a paddling and safety briefing you will be entering the peaceful river in your own canoe. The next three hours are yours to enjoy all the flora & fauna you’re surrounded with. Don’t worry about the difficulty of spotting them; they’re all over and your bilingual naturalist guide will even point out the ones you’ve missed.
During your float you will stop at a picturesque sandbank for a fresh ‘river’ lunch, provided by your guide. Don’t hesitate to stretch your legs by strolling around the area or by a quick swim in the river itself. When you’re ready to move on, jump in your canoe for some more paddling on the River San Carlos. At the take out your minivan will bring you back to your hotel.

All of our nature activities obviously contain an abundant amount of flora & fauna. The differences between these activities are the surroundings and style of observation. They’re all unique and have their own experience factor, as do the nature canoeing tours.
Imagine yourself floating downriver, surrounded by rainforest and exotic sounds. You look left and right, above and even below your canoe, in search for the source of all the jungle sounds. Birds fly all around you, monkeys party on in the tree branches above you and iguanas, frogs and turtles are keeping an eye open while bathing in the sun. You are in the midst of the rainforest, gently floating in your canoe, continuously pointing out your next spotted treasure of the jungle.
