Drive, fly or sail to Corcovado; hike single days, multiple days, with or without a professional naturalist guide; make it your Honeymoon or go 'el cheapo'; add addional tours while in the Osa Peninsula (eg. scuba diving, snorkeling, dolphins and whales watching, horseback riding). It's all up to you. We know the best locations, guides, trails and inside information. You wish, we make it happen.

Keep in mind that Corcovado National Park is a tough cookie. Hiking with a local guide is highly recommended, however, for the ones seeking maximum adrenaline and challenges, it could be done without.

Additional Info- Beware of the Jaguar
The pristine rainforests and the rugged natural beauty of the Osa Peninsula makes this region among the most beautiful areas in Costa Rica. Corcovado National Park area is located on the Osa peninsula in the southern pacific region of Costa Rica. Corcovado National Park encompasses over 44,000 terrestrial hectares and over 5,000 marine hectares and contains a variety of ecosystems including forests, beaches, coral reefs, and mangrove and freshwater swamps. Corcovado has an unusually most biologically important protected lowland area, according to the Costa Rican Ministry of Environment.

The ecological variety and abundance is truly amazing. National Geographic once called it "the most biologically intense place on Earth". Any person visiting this incredible area can expect to see an abundance of both marine and rainforest wildlife at its best.
The area conserves the largest primary tropical rainforest on the American Pacific coastline and one of the few remaining sizeable areas of lowland tropical rainforests in the world.
Corcovado is large enough to support a sizeable population of the endangered Baird's Tapir. And it holds about 140 species of mammals (representing 10% of the mammal-species in America). Large herds of white-lipped peccaries (wild pigs) roam the park as well as several big cats (including jaguars, ocelots, cougars and margay). Costa Rica as a whole is a birdwatcher's dream come true, and Corcovado in particular holds most of this treasure where several hundred land and marine bird species can be seen in their natural habitat.

There are five ranger stations, with Sirene Ranger Station being the only one in the middle of the park. The ranger stations La Leona, San Pedrillo, Los Patos and El Tigre are situated at the border and serve as official entrances. Sirena Ranger Station is considered as most popular due to lodging, camp-out and dining possibilities and its surroundings offering you the best wildlife experiences.
